Description
An illustration of a fanfiction being written over at the Cornstalker forums. This particular scene depicts two of the "evil" characters, Laurel and Grim.
I had my own take on this particular scene, as the ghost of Laurel's emotions weeps over the burnt spot where her handmaiden was killed. In netpoet's writing, Laurel seems to have contempt for her handmaiden, Husha, but in my own writings they are close companions. So, while Laurel is resurrected, she leaves her human emotions behind - whatever love and caring were left in her living body - and becomes a demonic being, ready to serve evil (not to mention herself).
Since Laurel was evil, I suppose adding the angel wings to the ghost was dumb, but I think they sort of counterbalance the demon wings on the resurrected.
I especially like my shinies. Shiny things are pretty.
